Favorite Aspect about Ramapo College?
I absolutely adore the intimate atmosphere at Ramapo College of New Jersey. The campus size strikes the perfect balance, creating a close-knit community where support is readily available while also providing an environment which fosters opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery. Additionally, the natural beauty that surrounds the campus is inspiring which enhances the overall experience of being a part of Ramapo.
Favorite Location On-Campus and Why?
My favorite place on the Ramapo College campus has to be Kameron Pond. There's something truly magical about sitting at the benches, with the view of the water and canopy of trees. It's my sanctuary for productivity and coffee breaks. And of course, watching the adorable baby turtles that call the lake home sunbathe on the rocks is heartwarming.
Favorite Part About Being an Admissions Counselor?
Being an admissions counselor is incredibly fulfilling for me. I remember entering college as a First Generation student with little knowledge about the whole process, and now, I have the privilege of assisting students just like I was helped. It's immensely gratifying to be able to share my own journey and demonstrate that college is not an intimidating, insurmountable challenge, but rather an achievable endeavor. One of my favorite aspects is aiding students in creating a personalized plan for their future. Guiding them towards a college that's the perfect fit, where they can not only flourish academically but also develop as individuals in various facets of life, brings me immense satisfaction
